This is a little update to show that I haven't forgotten about this blog. I doubt that anyone will be reading this, but that's fine. I think I may attract a couple followers in the future. I have plans, it is far to early to see if I will make good on them, or if I'm up to the challenge, but this is one of the few things that I really want and will strive for. Get ya popcorn ready.... Well, don't because it's not anything like that involves popcorn. But... I guess you'll eventually see what I mean.

Back to Where We Started

My blog now resumes it's purpose as a sketch journal. This next drawing I threw together. (It didn't take me as long as other sketches) He's my Ska persona, basically a fusion of my favorite manga character and one of my favorite styles of music. Without further ado, "Ska Man"

Revival

I'm afraid to say it, but I'm somewhat reviving my godforsaken "myspace". But not to worry, I'm only making it pretty so my friends have something better to look at. Don't worry, my blogger, for you will always remain my blog. In fact I left my myspace a disclaimer.

[Alright, I'll give it to you straight. I'm sorry, myspace, but you're just not for me. I have a new blog that is, just that, a blog. But I'm willing to play your game. Don't try anything funny, you're lucky I still keep you around.]

There you have it. I'm keeping it, but keep your eyes here if you are really my friend.

[It's ska themed, by the way.]

Wine, Women and Song

It's been a while. Hope the holidays were happy, mine were not too shabby. I am ashamed that I have neglected you of details about my life. More importantly, I have deprived you of anything constructive whatsoever. I started this blog on a whim (incited by IndieKid ). I planned for it to be a sketch journal, due to the fact that I am a moderate fan of Japanese animation and comics, and at the time I was a prolific, yet mediocre, artist. (Basically I drew alot of crap, with a few gems here and there.) When my drawing began to slow down, or just drop in quality, I made an attempt to turn the blog into my own personal review center. (I can review just about anything, but I stick with stuff I like) The entire time the blog has been it has still served another purpose to me and to me only as a cathartic escape. No matter how I used the blog, I always left my desk with a clear head. Much like how I will feel after this post.

I resume my (hopefully) regulated posting cycle with some general musings about a few that have gone on around me. First, I suggest you all hurry over to www.harveydanger.com and download their new album, "Little by Little". If anybody can recall the band, they might remember the song "Flagpole Sitta" the notorious "brat anthem" (I'm stealing that quote from another blog, I would link the guy, but I forgot the link, heh) Their style was unique, but to a fault, those I know who purchased the album liked only the aforementioned song and regretted their waste of money. I never got to hear much of their early stuff either, but I've heard that it was kinda "immature" in the fact that the vocals were not much more than shouting. But with this new album, they've shown a serious side, lyrics, vocals, and all. So I highly recommend you download the album now. (Wine, Women and Song would be the name of the first track)

I'm off sooner than I had hoped, as is always the case. And, as I always promise, more musings later...

  • Chuck Norris Saved My Life

It's my third time around doing my school's spring musical, and I kinda got the shaft again. I was pretty upset for not making callbacks again, but I realized that I still have one more year and I can do better. Also, if I have a lesser part this year, I can have more fun at practice and focus more on my schoolwork. But for the while I was depressed and scanning a tech forum (yeah, I'm a loser) when I stumbled across a thread about all those Chuck Norris jokes. I nearly died laughing. (Thus proving that not only am I a loser, but an idiot as well) I am not going to give you samples of my favorite jokes, because most are crude and tasteless (which is part or all of their appeal). If you share this dumb sense of humor with me, google it yourself.

[Chuck Norris was once said to have been defeated by a pirate. This was a lie made by Chuck Norris to lure more pirates to him. Pirates were never very smart to begin with.]

So, Pirates are cool

Bailey wants to blog for me. He thinks that if you cross breed a viking, a pirate, and a ninja, you would get Chuck Norris. So I've auditioned for my school spring show, "The Pirates of Penzance". (Bailey prefers "The Pirate in my Pants"). It is the main event of my year, and I am psyched. I love my theatre friends. Just thought you ought to know. More later, it's loud here at school

Bailey's Blog:
Today in Mr. Ojo's class, i was like "hey ojo i heard you killed a monkey!" and in his crazy african accent he goes "i fight da monkey. i neva keel da monkey. heres what went on down. i saw a littlebabymonkey and i wanted it so i took it. then at night da monkeymomma came and wanted a fight for da littlebabymonkey. i fight da monkeymomma and eet good fighta so i steal a banana and i abscond wit it, and da monkeymomma got dalittlebabymonkey back eet was win win."

at this point, strongbad came in and deleted mr ojo.

Swing, Swing, Swing

Currently Listening: Sing, Sing, Sing by Benny Goodman Band

I know something that I really want to do. This is not a whim. I know that it is often heard (among my "group" at least). But upon listening to this song, I am determined. Alas, a problem arises, who is one to take to the prom. I haven't the slightest idea, but I'm not going to get crazy over finding a date for the junior, nor senior prom. I'm going to sit back and play the situation by ear. But I will learn swing, if not for the senior prom, just for the hell of it. Just had to get it out. Hope you enjoy the randomness.
